Ladies Water Polo

Over the last month or so we have had a number of enquiries from ladies about water polo, and are now looking at putting some training sessions together. Any ladies wishing to get involved are invited to contact ECASA's Water Polo rep, Dave Warriner on 07761 277 581
or via the email address below:

GB COACH TO HEAD UP ‘WATER POLO WEDNESDAY’
Tim Kendall, newly-appointed assistant coach for the GB Men’s water polo team, will lead the coaching team for ‘Water Polo Wednesday’, a new project based at Brentwood County High School.

WPW, which launches in 8 September, has been organised by Dave Warriner, East Region Water Polo Development Officer, and will offer coaching for four age groups: ’01 and later, ’99 and later, ’97 and later and ’95 and later.

The aim is to enter the ’99, ’97 and ’95 age-groups into the Winter London League, where matches are played in a mini-tournament format over 4/5 Sundays between October and February.

The sessions take place between 4 and 9pm and are open to swimmers from clubs and schools across the south of the East Region.

Spaces are limited to 15 per age-group and the price for each hour-long session will be £5.
For further details contact Dave Warriner at dave@gopolo.co.uk or on 07761 277 581.

Water Polo Good Practice
After a lengthy consultation period the ASA have published Guidelines which set out Good Practice for
young people and adults training and competing together in Water Polo. This guidance has been
developed by the ASA Independent Child Protection Officer, ASA Legal Affairs Team and advisors with
experience in Water Polo to assist in maintaining proper safeguards for all ASA members. It has been
approved by the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit and the ASA Board. It is available to view on the
ASA website under the following link:

Please bring this to the attention of all your water polo players, parents, club welfare officers and others
who are involved with water polo and young people. You are strongly advised to review and comply with
these guidelines to the fullest extent.
