At the recent East Region ACM, [Annual
Council Meeting] One of our club's officials
and administrators PHIL NICE was awarded an
AquaFORCE volunteers award
for his
outstanding contribution at Club level. But
this also incorporated his behind the
scenes work, and main point of contact for the
County Swimming Championships at Blackshots

Many Congratulations to
Roberto Pavoni who has been competing at the
Australian Open Short Course Swimming
Championships, Melbourne. In the 400IM
[4:13.79]; 200IM [2:00.37]; 100IM [0:56.77]
and the 200Fly [1:59.71]. Well Done!
His next engagement will be the Open Water 5
Kms swim in Lake Kawana
(Australia) next month which will act as
preparation for the Queensland Long Course
Swimming Championships in Brisbane taking
place before Christmas
**** The County Team competing at the East
Region Inter-County Swimming Championships
on Saturday 5th July achieved a credible 3rd place.
The results can be downloaded here.
The next event for the county swim team will
be at Sheffield, Ponds Forge on October
18/19, competing on 19th.
The team that competed at the East Region
competition in July will be strengthened by
the inclusion of some swimmers from the
London Borough Clubs of the County as well. 2008
