ECASA Age Group 2010 competition details

ECASA Would like to express our sincere apologies to all swimmers, coaches and spectators for having to postpone some swimming events scheduled for Session 4 of Block A on Sunday 24th January of this years Age Group Championships due to Safety reasons. We would confirm that we are currently investigating the matter and are in discussion with Impulse Leisure who run the facility at Blackshots.

Initial indications are that we plan to incorporate the postponed events into our Blocks C & D schedule thus avoiding block B, which for some competitors coincides with the half term school holidays.

Exact details of this will be advised as soon as it is possible.

Chelmsford Swimming Club would like to thank the many people who bought raffle tickets and donated their loose change at Block A of the Essex Championships on Saturday. We collected £310.

All the money will be sent directly to the Sisters of St Joseph of Peace who are located and working in a hospital just outside the epicentre in Haiti, via Sister Catherine who works in a local school in Chelmsford.

The nuns are continuing to work in desperate surroundings and the local school next to the hospital has also been set up to treat the injured. The facilities and care depends entirely on donations and Chelmsford Swimming Club are proud to support this.

Many thanks again for your generosity.

Essex County ASA are pleased to support the proposed Basildon Sporting Village & 50m pool.
